The venues pro­posed as part of the ini­tial Greater Vic­to­ria Com­mon­wealth Games con­cept in­clude: Bendigo: Aquat­ics — Greater Bendigo In­door Aquatic Leisure Cen­tre Shep­par­ton: Ath­let­ics — Shep­par­ton Sports Precinct (a new sta­dium to be built) Lawn bowls — Shep­par­ton Park Bowls Club Squash — Shep­par­ton Sports Sta­dium Bal­larat: Bad­minton — Bal­larat Bad­minton Cen­tre Net­ball — Bal­larat Sports and Events Cen­tre Trar­al­gon: Box­ing and weightlift­ing — Gipp­s­land Re­gional In­door Sports and Entertainment Com­plex Gee­long: Hockey — Stead Park Hockey Cen­tre Men’s and women’s Rugby 7’s — Si­monds Sta­dium Pre­lim­i­nary venues for op­tional Com­mon­wealth Games events in­clude: Shep­par­ton: Men’s bas­ket­ball — Shep­par­ton Sports Sta­dium Triathlon — Vic­to­ria Park Lake Bendigo: Women’s bas­ket­ball — Bendigo Sta­dium Track cy­cling — Tom Flood Cen­tre Div­ing — Greater Bendigo In­door Aquatic Leisure Cen­tre War­nam­bool/ Port Camp­bell: Road cy­cling Mount Buller: Moun­tain bike Gee­long: Gym­nas­tics — Gee­long Con­ven­tion Cen­tre Nagam­bie: Row­ing — Lake Nagam­bie Yar­ra­wonga: Sail­ing — Lake Mul­wala Wodonga: Ten­nis — Wodonga Lawn Ten­nis Cen­tre As part of the bid con­cept, Greater Shep­par­ton City Coun­cil is propos­ing up to three test events for the 2030 Com­mon­wealth Games: cricket, soft­ball and/or beach vol­ley­ball in Mil­dura and BMX in Shep­par­ton. The Greater Shep­par­ton City Coun­cil is also cur­rently bid­ding for the BMX World Cup.
