Appeal for help

Seymour Telegraph - - NEWS -

As residents prepare to honour the fallen on Anzac Day, the welfare needs of current and former servicemen and women continue to be the top priority during this year’s ANZAC Appeal.

The Victorian RSL has distributed more than 750 000 ANZAC Appeal badges across the state and is calling on everybody to buy a badge and wear it with pride to help support Australian veterans and their families.

‘‘The vital funds raised throughout the appeal enable the RSL to fulfil its primary role in welfare, of assisting current and ex-servicemen and women and their families when they are in need,’’ RSL Victoria president Dr Robert Webster said.

‘‘Through the ANZAC Appeal, Australians continue to stand together, wearing their own badge of honour and remembering the servicemen and women who sacrificed so much for us.’’
