Seymour Telegraph - - NEWS - By Lewis Fischer

The Traveller’s Aid Buggy Service has been targeted by thieves at Seymour Train Station.

It is alleged that a group of youths have attempted to steal the buggy on two occasions in recent weeks.

The alleged offenders, described by a witness as being about 16 years of age, climbed aboard the buggy service and started the ignition using a broken pen.

They were stopped by a V/Line staff member before they were able to make off with the buggy.

The buggy service is run by volunteers and provides an important service to the community, especially the elderly and those with mobility issues, in transferring from coach to platform and getting to doctors appointments.
