Man wanted for ques­tion­ing

About 3.05 pm on July 19, a man was trav­el­ling north along Hume Fwy at Wal­lan when he be­came in­volved in a road rage in­ci­dent with the driver of an­other ve­hi­cle.

The of­fend­ing ve­hi­cle swerved sev­eral times to­wards the vic­tim’s ve­hi­cle, forc­ing him to take eva­sive ac­tion to avoid a col­li­sion.

The of­fend­ing driver’s be­hav­iour be­gan on the free­way at Wal­lan im­me­di­ately prior to the off-ramp into Wal­lan, and ex­tended for sev­eral kilo­me­tres.

At one point, the of­fend­ing ve­hi­cle took up a po­si­tion be­side the vic­tim’s ve­hi­cle and the of­fend­ing driver pointed what is de­scribed as a hand­gun at the vic­tim be­fore throw­ing an un­known metal ob­ject to­wards the vic­tim’s ve­hi­cle.

The vic­tim and the of­fend­ing driver con­tin­ued north along the free­way.

The of­fender is de­scribed as 30 to 40 years old, Cau­casian, about 6 ft tall, large to fat build, with short re­ced­ing straw­berry blond hair and green or hazel eyes, light skinned with red­dish cheeks and heav­ily freck­led.

Sought: Po­lice would like to speak to this man re­gard­ing a road rage in­ci­dent on the Hume Fwy.
