Big bucks in bingo

The Mitchell Shire Con­cert Band will be host­ing Big Bucks Bingo in Sey­mour from October 10, which is its Tues­day special bingo for the Se­niors Fes­ti­val.

With a chance to win up to $100 000, this new bingo is sure to be pop­u­lar.

At Tues­day’s in­au­gu­ral ses­sion, you can get one set of bingo tick­ets (ex­clud­ing the Big Bucks Bingo game) and af­ter­noon tea for just $10.

Bingo is held at the Band Hall at Chittick Park. Eyes down from 1 pm to 3 pm.

There will be mu­sic from The This­tle En­sem­ble from noon un­til 12.45 pm this Tues­day.

Big Bucks Bingo will also be played at the band’s Satur­day bingo ses­sion from October 14, with eyes down at 1.30 pm.

There will be an­other special af­ter­noon of bingo for the Se­niors Fes­ti­val on October 18, with one set of books and af­ter­noon tea for $10. Again, book­ings are es­sen­tial.

The whole band will pro­vide en­ter­tain­ment from 12.30 pm to 1.15 pm.

‘‘I’d re­ally love to see some­one win a big jack­pot at our first ses­sion of Big Bucks Bingo,’’ bingo man­ager Pam Collings said. ‘‘And I’d love even more to present them with a cheque a cou­ple of weeks later.’’

On stage: Broad­ford Am­a­teur The­atri­cal So­ci­ety’s lat­est of­fer­ing Gravedig­ger will open on October 13.
