Euroa show’s farms focus
The Euroa Agricultural Society will stage its 127th show on October 28 and 29.
The show’s theme is ‘Food Comes From Farms’, ensuring that all members of the community, whether working in agricultural industries or not, are reminded of the vital role farms and farmers play.
The society aims to build on the success of last year’s show and encourage as many people in the community to think about, talk about, compete in and attend the show as possible.
A number of new initiatives will be introduced this year, including the young farmers’ challenge, the wild action show, a hay bale maze and a range of free children’s activities to complement the already popular traditional attractions.
The Scarecrow People’s Choice Award will also be staged for the second year.
The show will include activities such as yard dogs and horse harness events, stud cattle competition, sheep, poultry, the handson delight of the animal nursery, championship breeds dog show, art, craft, cookery, produce and preserves.
