Writer set to speak

Seymour Telegraph - - NEWS -

Author Kylie Ladd will speak about her recently published novel The Way Back at Nagambie Library on October 17.

Ms Ladd is a novelist, psychologist and freelance writer and her novels have been published in Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK and Europe.

In The Way Back, Charlie Johnson is 13 and in her first year of high school. She loves her family, netball and Liam, the cute guy who sits next to her in science — but most of all she loves horses and horseriding.

Charlie’s parents have leased her a horse, Tic Tac, from the local pony club, but one day they go out for a ride in the national park and only Tic Tac returns.

When a life has been shattered, how do you put the pieces back together?

The Way Back is a moving, haunting and all-tooreal novel that takes you beyond the headlines and explores a family’s worst nightmare with compassion and insight.

Ms Ladd will be speaking on October 17 at 7 pm at Nagambie Library, 352 High St, Nagambie. Bookings are required. To book, phone the library on 1300 374 765 by Saturday.

Author chat: Kylie Ladd will speak at Nagambie Library next week about her latest novel The Way Back.
