The com­posers in the Cham­ber Mu­sic in the Bush con­cert would have been very happy to know that three cen­turies later, their mu­sic is still pop­u­lar.

Baroque favourites such as Vi­valdi, Han­del, Tele­mann and Bach fea­ture in the next con­cert at Sa­lon Con­certs at Broad­ford.

This is the third con­cert of the 2017 se­ries, and Peter Hagen per­forms with Jane Downer from the UK in a CD launch con­cert cel­e­brat­ing both old and new reper­toire for their duo.

Ms Downer per­forms on baroque oboe, which un­der her fin­gers pro­duces sounds rang­ing from haunt­ingly del­i­cate to lively and happy.

To­gether with Mr Hagen on the harp­si­chord, they will per­form on Oc­to­ber 15 at 4 pm in a pro­gram guar­an­teed to de­light any afi­cionado of baroque mu­sic — mu­sic com­posed about 1600 to 1750.
