Show Anzac spirit
On November 19 at 2 pm, the Anzac Tribute Show will be performed at the Community Arts Centre, on the corner of Anglesey and Loco Sts, Seymour and sponsored by Rotary Club of Seymour and Seymour RSL.
The ANZAC Tribute Show features the Sunbury Choral Association and provides a unique opportunity to re-live the songs, costumes and scenes from the World War I era.
The location and timing of the concert is significant and related to the Anzac spirit with Seymour being close to Puckapunyal and Armistice Day on November 11 marking the end of the First World War.
Also, the centenary on October 31 of the Battle of Beersheba, led by Australian Sir Harry Chauvel, was a significant turning point in the military campaign and considered by many historians to be the most successful light horse charge during the war.
All proceeds from the concert are to benefit research into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The cost for the threehour show including afternoon tea is adults $30, seniors $25 and children (3-12 years) $20.
Tickets are available online at www.trybooking.com/ RSYR, at Seymour RSL, Station St or at Cartridge World in Tallarook St.
