Double delight for real estate agent

Seymour Telegraph - - NEWS - Seymour’s Janelle Puppa Real Estate recently won agency of the year, and Ms Puppa also won Agent of the Year.

After scoring dream sales for clients across the district, Janelle Puppa Real Estate has had its own win.

The local agency recently won Seymour’s Agency of the Year and Agent of the Year (Janelle Puppa) from real estate ratings website Rate My Agent.

And all this after just 15 months as a business.

‘‘I was a little bit shocked,’’ Ms Puppa said.

‘‘The award is based on reviews and people’s opinions, not just on how many sales we’ve achieved — so quality, not quantity.

‘‘That’s why we’re so happy with these awards. We strive to be good communicators, achieve the best price for the vendors and get buyers to where they need to be.

‘‘We’re not into reaching targets, because you can’t force sales. It’s all about being patient and working closely with people.’’

Ms Puppa has been in the business for 18 years, initially selling houses throughout Melbourne.

‘‘I enjoy working with people, and communication is a big part of this job. If anything, it’s working with computers I struggle with the most,’’ she said.

‘‘While every sale has been amazing in its own way, the first sale I made after opening my own business was the most rewarding.’’

And the wins for Janelle Puppa Real Estate continued throughout the district, with Avenel and Nagambie agent Bonnie Gaehl scooping Agency of the Year for Avenel.
