The comedian and Infinite Monkey

Cage radio host has edited a new horror anthology, Dead Funny

Favourite SF/ fantasy film

The Fly ( 1986) and pretty much any other science fiction Cronenberg, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers ’ 56 and ’ 78, Stalker, the original RoboCop, and on and on.

Favourite SF/ fantasy TV show

I am a big Rod Serling fan and consider many of the Twilight Zone stories masterpieces of TV. Most recently I thought Utopia was the best thing on TV for some time.

Favourite SF/ fantasy novel

Ubik by Philip K Dick and much by Harlan Ellison. When it comes to titles you can’t get much better than “Repent, Harlequin!” Said The Ticktockman and I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. Michael Moorcock’s Behold The Man is brilliant.

Favourite SF/ fantasy comics

I don’t read many science fiction comics, with the exception of Alan Moore who deserves his reputation for his remarkably fertile imagination and beauty of language.

Favourite SF/ fantasy character

Tom Baker’s Doctor, Axel Pressbutton ( from Laser Eraser And Pressbutton) – my favourite science fiction florist – and Strontium Dog.

Favourite SF/ fantasy guilty pleasure

I have no time to feel guilty about any of my science fiction pleasures. Dead Funny: Horror Stories By Comedians, edited by Robin Ince and Johnny Mains, is available now.
