SFX: The Sci-Fi and Fantasy Magazine - - Red Alert -

Any film that dares to smuggle hard sci- fi concepts and full- on body horror into a blockbuster is alright in my book. It may lack the primary colours of the comics but this looks great.

Considering the snark of the original comics this trailer is very much a humour- free zone. Would have liked to have seen a bit more of their powers too. Not feeling it from this, but it’s only a teaser.

After the fun of

Guardians, I was hoping the reboot of

Fantastic Four would go that route but it certainly doesn’t look likely. Nothing in the visuals gave me any palpitations.

I’d been rolling my eyes at the thought of another but this looks good. I’m hoping they ditch the “Fant4stic” title graphic though – am I the only one who wants to pronounce that “fant- four- stic”?

Fantastic Four was my favourite comic book as a kid – I loved the colour, the flip, Manhattanite wit, the mind- melting imagination. This trailer sells me none of that. It’s the FF but not my FF.
