Ascension

SFX’s Facebook followers give their verdict on spacefaring miniseries Ascension

SFX: The Sci-Fi and Fantasy Magazine - - View Screen -

Thought it was brilliant personally. Sure, some of the acting isn’t the greatest, but I thought the story was great. Roll on season two.

James Davis- Mann

The start was a bit slow but it soon found pace. Looking forward to the next series.

Sally Solloway

Not bad. Am hoping it can bring back spaceship- set sci- fi shows, something missing on TV since BSG finished.

Robert William Graham

Decent. Good as a few episodes – a longer season could get stretched.

Neil Hackney

A premise with promise that had me genuinely excited. And then a huge barrel- load of clichés, exposition and tedium. The whole thing a waste of time, only too happy to rip off better shows and films. No more please.

Seb Jowett

Dislikeable characters and disparate ideas. Fabulous sets, though.

John Hobart

I absolutely loved it. It’s nice to be genuinely surprised by a TV show in this day and age. Plus, it killed characters when other shows wouldn’t.

James Davison

I was looking forward to a spaceship- set show, only to find it really wasn’t – disappointed with that, but stuck with it and did like it.

Christine Stothard

I have to say that I thought I could see exactly where the plot was going right up until the last scene. Where did that come from? Completely threw me and left me wanting more.

Austin Ashwell

Well- acted with a great mystery in the middle and no punches pulled. Really hope the show continues!
