There’s a fairly original idea at the heart of this zombie sort- ofcomedy. It’s 458 days into the apocalypse and a band of mismatched survivors are trudging through the English countryside. It’s all going about as well as you’d expect until they stumble upon an abandoned shelter and encounter – wait for it – Zombie Jesus.

An undead messiah is a fun concept. Unfortunately, it’s not particularly developed, or even give much screen time. Instead, the movie is mostly content to shuffle decrepitly through a series of zombie clichés. The production values are solid, but the jokes mostly amount to people shouting “fuck” while “funny” music plays. A bit of a missed opportunity.

A solid half- hour Making Of and a trailer. Will Salmon
