Stargate duo craft a science fiction mystery that won’t soon be forgotten

SFX: The Sci-Fi and Fantasy Magazine - - News -

You wake up from suspended animation. No memory of who you are. No details about how or why you are on a derelict ship. That’s the compelling concept driving Syfy’s new space show, Dark Matter. Based on the four- issue comic miniseries of the same name by Stargate SG- 1 writers/ executive producers Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, the interstellar saga finds the memories of six crew members completely erased. The numerically- monikered amnesiac cast includes One/ Jace Corso ( Marc Bendavid), Two/ Portia Lin ( Melissa O’Neil), Three/ Marcus Boone ( Anthony Lemke), Four/ Ryo Tetsuda ( Alex Mallari Jr), Five/ Das ( Jodelle Ferland) and Six/ Griffin Jones ( Roger Cross). Attempting to fill in the blanks, the group ride the ship to its preset destination. However, upon arriving at a mining colony, the crew make a startling discovery about themselves…

Through season one’s 13 episodes, the team must struggle with the ramifications of this bombshell, decide whether their past dictates who they are in the present, and discover who is responsible for wiping their minds. Sci- fi maestros Mallozzi and Mullie will be serving as executive producers, along with Prodigy Pictures’ Jay Firestone.
