Looper ( 2012)

SFX: The Sci-Fi and Fantasy Magazine - - 20 greatest films -

Proving that James Cameron didn’t corner the market in time- travel cleverness, Rian Johnson followed up his uber- cool teen drama Brick with this trippy SF masterpiece. Nodding to Blade Runner and Terminator, but never ripping them off, Looper’s barmy premise ( Joseph Gordon- Levitt is a younger version of Bruce Willis, whom he’s tasked with killing) manages to be equal parts grisly ( that body- hacking segment), intense ( house go boom), funny ( Jeff Daniels) and thrilling ( any one of JGL’s action moments). It’s the definition of a modern classic.

One of these men is a crime- obsessed psycho… Looper even had top motors. Yeah, but he’s no Collin Burns.
