Under The Skin ( 2014)

SFX: The Sci-Fi and Fantasy Magazine - - 20 greatest films -

Sparse and darkly seductive, Jonathan Glazer’s peek at the human race through alien eyes provided one of 2013’ s most unique and unsettling viewing experiences. Initially pegged as an “arthouse Species”, it proves far more interesting and complex than that as Scarlett Johansson’s emotionless ET- indisguise observes humanity while seducing men to sate some sort of predatory appetite. As much a study of humanity as it is a deconstruction of Johansson’s own glamorous screen image, Under The Skin is a rich, weird, absorbing masterpiece.
