Let The Right One In ( 2008)
In the wake of Twilight’s neutered glittervamps, this little Swedish gem injected new blood into neck- biting flicks. Unbelievably dark and disturbing, its twisted tale of young love couldn’t help but induce shivers, and heralded an impressive new talent in director Tomas Alfredson ( who went on to make the very different but equally riveting Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy). It was so good that director Matt Reeves basically copied it frame for frame in his American remake.
Scratch- and- sniff trees: popular with some.
Leo about to get in a spin in Inception.
