Birds Of Prey
1 This year’s E3 saw some exciting, long- gestating games finally revealed, including the legendary Last Guardian and a remake of classic JRPG
Final Fantasy VII. But the one that really caught our attention was Horizon: Zero
Dawn, an original action game from Cambridge- based developers Guerrilla. It stars Aloy, a hunter who takes down giant mechanical creatures in a post apocalyptic landscape. Just look at that massive metal eagle! How can it not be ace?
Tug Of War
2 Next year’s Independence Day sequel recently got a new subtitle – Resurgence – and with it our first glimpse at the film’s impressive “Moon Tug” which, in the words of Roland Emmerich, “is basically a forklift on the Moon”. Turns out part of humanity’s defence against another impending alien attack is setting up a Moon base as a first line of defence. We’d put good money on the big rock blowing up in the first five minutes.
