The scientist in this ’ 50s monster movie may be called Donald Blake but he’s more Incredible Hulk than Mighty Thor, periodically changing into a rampaging Neanderthal shirt- ripper after a lab mishap.

Blake ( Arthur Franz) also senselessly chatters away for most of the film – it could have been titled Man In The Lab.

Director Jack Arnold made some corking films but also several stinkers: this stiff cheapie leans closer to the latter.
