THE EMPIRE STRIKES BOOK
Get ready for Star Wars Day with a book
With sequels, prequels, comics and toys flooding the sci-fi market, it’s Christmas every day for Star Wars fans right now. But if you’re twiddling your thumbs until The Last Jedi, Foyles’ Charing Cross branch has the answer, with a Star Wars Reads Day on 29 April (ahead of Star Wars day on May the Fourth).
The exact content of the day is still to be confirmed, but in the morning there’ll be Star Wars Make And Do, where kids can create their own Wookiee finger puppets (£3 for children, free for supervising adults). There’s also a workshop with JAKe, the Star Wars illustrator responsible for a series of Syfy shorts. Plus expect a few Stormtroopers to be making sure everything’s regulation.
Adult time begins at 7pm with the Star Wars Quiz (£8 entry with drinks and snacks included). So prepare for the toughest Wars quiz this side of Alderaan.
Date 29 April
location Foyles, Charing Cross Road, London
