THOMAS F WILSON
Biff Tannen, Back To The Future
What do you think made Biff such a memorable bad guy?
He had absolutely no glint of kindness or redeeming qualities whatsoever! None.
Why was he such an appealing character to play?
Where else do you get to portray many different characters in the same family, in different times, under different circumstances? It was a lot of fun and a great challenge.
What’s your favourite Biff moment?
When he gets punched by George McFly, spins around, hits the car and ends up on the ground unconscious! I remember the audience cheered like they’ve never cheered before when they saw that! That tells you something.
Do you wish time travel were real?
I think the universe would explode because of Doc’s warning that if you change the past that changes the future too. That would be problematic.
What makes Back To The Future a classic?
It’s just got an amazingly unique storyline: you get a time machine, you go back in time and you meet your mum and dad. I think it also has a real heart-warming element: where a family comes together even closer because of that unique adventure!
