The Seymour Alternative Farming Expo crowd will be treated to a thrilling adrenaline rush when whip cracker Nathan Griggs takes centre stage.
This is the first time the whip-cracking entertainer has attended the event and Mr Griggs said he would shock the audience with how fast he could whip with three shows each day. “I do a range of technical tricks and crowd participation,” Mr Griggs said. “My favourite thing to do is whip to music — it sounds pretty sweet.” The West Australian has dedicated almost half his life to perfecting his whip-cracking techniques. “I’ve been whip cracking since I was 14, so nearly 10 years, and I’ve been travelling around Australia for almost four years just whip cracking,” Mr Griggs said. Mr Griggs is now a three-time world record-holder. “I have a world record for the longest whip in the world, which is over 100 m, and I’ll have that on display,” he said. “At the moment I’m training to break a world record again for the most whip cracks in a minute, which is currently 646. “I have held it before and I’m going to get it back.”
