So­lar info ses­sions

Re­new­able En­ergy Sys­tems, the com­pany be­hind the two pro­posed so­lar farms near De­niliquin, will hold com­mu­nity in­for­ma­tion ses­sions at the De­niliquin Pep­pin Her­itage Cen­tre next week.

The ses­sions will be run as an open-house for­mat and will al­low those in­ter­ested to learn more about the projects, with key project mem­bers in at­ten­dance to an­swer ques­tions.

The first project, called Cur­rawarra, is lo­cated 25 km north-east of De­niliquin at Mayrung and is planned to gen­er­ate up to 175 MW of re­new­able en­ergy, while the sec­ond project, Tar­leigh Park, lo­cated 23 km south-east of De­niliquin at Blighty, is de­signed to gen­er­ate about half that amount (90 MW).

Both projects will use ground-mounted so­lar pan­els with associated ac­cess tracks, a sub­sta­tion, op­er­a­tion and main­te­nance build­ing, elec­tri­cal ca­bling and fenc­ing.
