Plenty to see at show and shine

-

The Euroa Show and Shine is back again this weekend.

Together with the event’s major sponsor, Shannons Insurance, organisers have focused on presenting some of the best cars, bikes and other ‘‘things with engines’’ to excited hordes of motoring enthusiasts.

There will be exhibitions from motoring clubs, steam engines, a speedway display and the Country Fire Authority, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria will offer great insights into what’s new for our emergency services.

The highlight of the day will be the presentations of the trophies to the winners at 2 pm.

Stands will fill the streets and parks offering special deals, so the whole event becomes a marketplace with an exciting family environment.

Bands covering a variety of genres will perform throughout the day and there will be a rock ’n’ roll dancing exhibition.

For the family, there are skydivers to watch, helicopter rides, free mini-train rides for the kids, face painting, jumping castles and a petting zoo with lots of hands-on, cuddly, furry animals.

There will also be plenty of food stalls and coffee vendors throughout the area. ■ Gates open on Sunday, October 1 at 8 am and the event continues until about 3.30 pm. Entry is $5, with $10 for display vehicles, which includes entry for the driver.
