Cows were on the mooove
Eighteen of Shepparton’s Moooving Art herd have been moooved to Melbourne to coincide with the Royal Melbourne Show.
The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria introduced a new space this year called ‘The Meadow’, with a food and beverage focus.
The society contacted Greater Shepparton City Council to see if it would provide one or two of the painted cows for this space. Council instead offered 18.
‘The Meadow’ was not the only place the
herd could be found at the show, which ran from September 22 to October 2.
Many were at The Emporium (next to the Herald Sun Cafe) and at the entrance to the Family Adventure Pavilion.
A competition to coincide with the cow’s city visit was run throughout the show by #MooovingArt and #VisitShepparton on Instagram.
The winner will be chosen at random and will win a two-night package to Greater Shepparton, entrance into many local attractions, meal vouchers and a local product hamper.
Udderly marvellous . . . Some of the Greater Shepparton Moooving Art herd prepare for duty at the Royal Melbourne Show.
