G-MW LEADERS IN HOT WATER:
A Victorian Ombudsman’s report has been critical of former Goulburn-Murray Water chair Jo Anderson and former managing director Pat Lennon for expense claims lodged by the managing director in his two years with the authority. The chair resigned in July and the managing director left in September. The ombudsman has made a series of recommendations for the Victorian Government, G-MW and DELWP for handling expense claims in future.
COLBINABBIN GETS SILO ART FUNDING:
The small community of Colbinabbin has been awarded $112 000 towards the cost of painting its grain silos under the Victorian Government’s Pick My Project program. The community voted to support the project, ahead of other ideas floated in northern Victoria.
CONGUPNA SOLAR FARM APPROVED:
Congupna will be the next town to have solar panels installed on farm land after Victorian Planning Minister Richard Wynne approved the proposal. Mr Wynne also announced a draft set of guidelines, which have been called for by objectors and politicians.
