G-MW LEAD­ERS IN HOT WA­TER:

A Vic­to­rian Om­buds­man’s re­port has been critical of for­mer Goul­burn-Mur­ray Wa­ter chair Jo An­der­son and for­mer man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Pat Len­non for ex­pense claims lodged by the man­ag­ing di­rec­tor in his two years with the author­ity. The chair re­signed in July and the man­ag­ing di­rec­tor left in Septem­ber. The om­buds­man has made a series of rec­om­men­da­tions for the Vic­to­rian Government, G-MW and DELWP for han­dling ex­pense claims in fu­ture.

COL­BINAB­BIN GETS SILO ART FUND­ING:

The small com­mu­nity of Col­binab­bin has been awarded $112 000 to­wards the cost of paint­ing its grain si­los un­der the Vic­to­rian Government’s Pick My Pro­ject pro­gram. The com­mu­nity voted to sup­port the pro­ject, ahead of other ideas floated in north­ern Vic­to­ria.

CONGUPNA SO­LAR FARM AP­PROVED:

Congupna will be the next town to have so­lar pan­els in­stalled on farm land af­ter Vic­to­rian Plan­ning Min­is­ter Richard Wynne ap­proved the pro­posal. Mr Wynne also an­nounced a draft set of guide­lines, which have been called for by ob­jec­tors and politi­cians.
