Honda hits number one
The new Honda CR-V is the number one selling petrol medium SUV in Australia year to date.
The CR-V, launched in late 2012, has sold 4737 units for the first four months of 2013 and is proving to be the first choice for buyers in the growing segment.
‘‘The CR-V has been a huge success with customers looking for an SUV with outstanding packaging, performance and value for money,’’ Honda Australia director Stephen Collins said.
‘‘We have also just announced that the CR-V will feature a new variant to go on sale in June this year that will feature our Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) that we launched in our all-new Accord this week.
‘‘We are confident the CR-V with ADAS will boost sales even further and ensure the CR-V remains at the top of medium SUV buyer’s shopping lists,’’ Mr Collins said.
The Advanced Driver Assist System features state-of-theart safety technology such as Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Collision Mitigation Braking System ( CMBS) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
ADAS is designed to complement the driver, not to replace their input. ADAS contributes to active safety, while ensuring that the driver remains in control of the vehicle at all times.
