Parents disarm son at school

SALT LAKE CITY: Two fast-acting parents have disarmed their 15-year-old son at a Utah junior high school after he took two guns to class and fired a round into the ceiling.

Bountiful police chief Tom Ross said the boy’s parents became concerned about their son and went to Mueller Park Junior High in Bountiful on Thursday when they noticed the guns missing from their home. A student said the boy went into a classroom and fired into the ceiling before a woman grabbed the gun and told him to stop.
