Motorcyclist hurt in collision
A Townsville man, 38, was taken to Goulburn Valley Health with head injuries following a collision between a motorcycle and car in Shepparton yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Sun Valley Dve and Channel Rd about 1.15 pm.
Shepparton Highway Patrol Leading Senior Constable Richard Ivory said a Shepparton man, 30, was driving a utility west on Channel Rd.
Leading Sen Const Ivory said two motorbikes were travelling east on Channel Rd and turning into Sun Valley Dve when one collided with the utility.
He said the motorcyclist was knocked unconscious and had head injuries, while the utility driver avoided injury.
Channel Rd was closed to traffic for almost 30 minutes while emergency services cleared the scene.
Leading Sen Const Ivory said the cause of the crash was being investigated.
In a separate incident, a car and truck collided at the intersection of Wyndham St and Knight St, Shepparton, yesterday morning.
Paramedics assessed the driver of the car at the scene, while the truck driver is believed to have escaped without injury.
One lane heading northbound on Wyndham St was closed for a period while the scene was cleared.
