Mooroopna’s Rodney Park Retirement Village’s activity centre was bursting at the seams with the best turnout ever to a Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser on Friday.

There was a great spread of morning tea delights such as scones and slices with many of the village residents bringing a plate of food.

‘‘We had more than 120 people, which is 40 more people than last year, and we expect to raise more than $1000 for the Cancer Council,’’ event committee secretary Ian Russell said.

‘‘People came from Tarcoola, Kialla Rodney Park Gardens and the hostels joined in the fun on the day.’’

A singing group and Bill Kuehnapfel provided the musical entertainment. ● See more photos in Around Town in tomorrow’s News.
