Letters to the Editor

Shepparton News - - VIEW POINT -

the Nationals will take a different approach to choosing the candidate for next year’s state election, one where the wider community gets more of a say, much more than other political parties.

The Nationals have a history of preselected candidates outside of the party, for example Peter Ryan, Peter Crisp, Damian Drum and Russel Northe.

So with that, the potential candidate, someone who is taking a step away from their family and work to run in a election does not need to be publicly dismissed as a ‘‘hack’’ just because of someone’s political views.
