Blokes’ lunch is sold out
Shepparton’s Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch has sold out months in advance ahead of the event on August 18.
‘‘It’s excellent, it’s fantastic that there are 700 blokes, yet again, supporting a great cause,’’ Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch chairman Shane O’Sullivan said.
The ninth annual event will bring supporters together to raise awareness of prostate cancer and raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
‘‘People are becoming more and more aware that they are supporting a cause that affects so many,’’ Mr O’Sullivan said.
‘‘It’ll be another great day and next year will be our tenth which will be an extraspecial occasion.’’
The crowd is set to be entertained by Black Caviar’s trainer Peter Moody, AFL footballer and Australian cricketer Simon O’Donnell and comedian Micky D.
The lunch will begin on Friday, August 18 at noon at the Queen’s Gardens, Shepparton followed by a threecourse lunch at Eastbank. ● Donations for auction and raffle items are greatly appreciated and those wishing to donate can phone Lisa Kubeil on 0400 599 577.
