AFFECTIONATELY DUBBED THE SHEARING SHED HOUSE, YOU WILL LOVE THE DESIGN, STYLE AND SUSTAINABILITY
Repurposed bricks adorn a feature wall, reclaimed timber a kitchen splashback and pendant lights from an old shearing shed hang from a dining room ceiling in a sustainably designed local home.
Affectionately dubbed the Shearing Shed House, the Kyvalley home is featured in the sustainability edition of Our Home magazine available free in tomorrow’s Shepparton News.
‘‘Sustainable design principles far from hinder style and creativity, as displayed by the many savvy locals featured among the pages,’’ Our Home editor Damita Lamont said.
‘‘From industrial chic looks to Parisian charm, eclectic styling to colour palettes that take their cue from nature, the homes featured will delight and inspire.’’
The sustainability edition shines a spotlight on sustainable architecture, repurposed furniture and reclaimed materials, self-sufficient kitchen-gardens and energy efficient appliances.
As readers peruse the articles they can also shop the magazine from cover to cover.
‘‘The beauty of this magazine is that the content is gorgeous, inspiring and all local,’’ Ms Lamont said.
‘‘As you flip through the pages you will find real people’s homes and gardens, tips in design and style from local people, and beautiful home de´cor products you can actually purchase from local stores and suppliers.’’
