Man’s remand extended
A man who was allegedly caught with close to $1 million worth of drugs faced court yesterday.
Travis Webber appeared in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court yesterday for the second time following his June 5 arrest after a raid on his Skene St property.
In the morning raid, police allegedly uncovered $854 000 worth of methamphetamines, as well as ecstasy and speed and weapons. Mr Webber, who was 40 at the time of his arrest, allegedly tried to flee the scene during the raid.
In a brief court appearance, the accused, who has been remanded in custody since his arrest, was represented by lawyer Emma King. He faces 13 charges, including drug trafficking, drug dependence and weapons possession.
He was remanded in custody to face the court on September 25 for three summary offences, and for a committal on October 25.
