Wally, all of us at school love you Sirius-ly

Shepparton News - - NEWS - By Declan Martin

It was not hard to find Wally in the schoolyard of Sirius College on Tuesday where students were celebrating Literacy Week with a fun dress-up day based on the popular book Where’s Wally?

The dress-up day is only one of the activities taking place this week to encourage reading among students.

‘‘Students have had to carry books on them when walking around the school and have to be ready to Drop Everything And Read when a certain song is played on the school intercom,’’ teacher Tarbinder Pandher said.

The school is also having a scavenger hunt where students have to figure out the literacy-based clues to find items. Shepparton Library staff will run some fun activities at school.

The team organising the activities were teachers Venhar Avut, Funda Avan and Ms Pandher.
