Busy time on the track for Shepparton race car driver
He went to the top of the timesheets with a one minute and 10.02 second lap in the morning session, finishing just 0.2136 seconds ahead of Jack Perkins.
Jacobson will jump behind the wheel of his own Falcon today and tomorrow for two races, before the attention turns to race 19 of the V8 Supercars Championship.
The first race starts today on Fox Sports at 3.15 pm, then at 10.55 am tomorrow, before backing up to race at 1.15 pm.
Last month, Jacobson was recognised for a stellar 2016 after winning the Phillip Island Auto Racing Club Competitor of the Year.
The driver has been a part of the racing club since 2009 and now has his name etched alongside all-time greats Greg Murphy Craig Lowndes.
On the track, Jacobson has had a mixed year with a number of faults, tyre failures and engine blowouts, but is starting to and find form again.
He has finished first once this season and at his most recent meet at Sydney’s SuperSprint he had two thirds and two fifth placings from four races.
