Spring in to spring with out­door ac­tiv­i­ties

Another week­end is here and hope­fully along with it comes some nice weather. For those look­ing for some­thing to do this week­end, we have cre­ated a list of events you may like to get to. Those who love AEow­ers may en­joy the Spring Spec­tac­u­lar of Or­chids hosted by the Goul­burn Val­ley Or­chid Club to­day from 9 am to 4 pm and to­mor­row from 10 am to 4 pm.

Held at Kialla Pace­way, Goul­burn Val­ley Hwy, Kialla, the show will fea­ture a wide dis­play of or­chids, plus pot­ting demon­stra­tions, AEo­ral ar­range­ments and sales. En­try is $5. Kelly Mini Sports will be held at Fer­rari Park, Mooroopna to­day from 10 am to 10.45 am.

Run by ex­pert coaches, Kelly Mini Sports gives chil­dren the chance to dis­cover sport while de­vel­op­ing fun­da­men­tal mo­tor skills.

En­try is free and par­tic­i­pants are asked to wear com­fort­able clothes and take a drink bot­tle.

The Pow­er­cor Tour de De­pot will be held to­mor­row from 8 am.

Now in its third year, the Pow­er­cor Tour de De­pot is a re­gional cy­cling event that of­fers a 20 km time trial, a fam­ily-friendly 5 km or 10 km com­mu­nity ride and a free com­mu­nity fes­ti­val all start­ing at Vic­to­ria Park Lake.

Also on to­mor­row is the Mooroopna Li­ons Club Farm­ers Mar­ket at Fer­rari Park, Mooroopna from 8.30 am to 1 pm.

The mar­ket will fea­ture a wide range of fresh pro­duce and crafts.

The Boule­vard Bush Re­serve Com­mu­nity Day will also be held to­mor­row from 10 am to noon at the Boule­vard Bush Re­serve.

The day is hosted by RiverCon­nect and gives peo­ple the chance to learn more about plants and an­i­mals that live at the re­serve.

The event is free to at­tend but peo­ple are en­cour­aged to reg­is­ter for cater­ing pur­poses by email­ing rivercon­nect@shep­par­ton.vic.gov.au or phon­ing 5832 9700.

Play­ball will be held to­mor­row at Congupna Recre­ation Re­serve from 10 am to 11 am.

Play­ball is a multi-sport pro­gram that teaches sport and life skills to chil­dren aged two to eight.

Those keen to at­tend are asked to wear com­fort­able cloth­ing and take a drink bot­tle.

The Goul­burn Val­ley Con­cert Orches­tra will per­form its last per­for­mance for its an­nual cham­ber con­cert se­ries to­mor­row at 2pm.

The per­for­mance will be held at Shep­par­ton’s East­bank Cen­tre on Wels­ford St. The con­cert is a gold coin do­na­tion and book­ings are not re­quired.

Fun: Isla, 8, and Jas­mine Cahill, 11, had their faces painted at last year’s Tour de De­pot.
