Shepparton News - - NEWS -

A Seymour driver attempted to evade an Automated Number Plate Recognition site on the Hume Fwy at Tallarook, but crashed a short distance later.

According to the highway patrol, the man approached the site on Sunday, October 22, and knowing he was a suspended driver, he attempted to drive through the site, but a short distance past crashed into the side railing.

The man, in his early 30s, was not injured, but will be summonsed to court for numerous offences, including driving while suspended, evading police and driving an unregistered car.

He also tested positive to methylamphetamine.

Other offences detected at this site included another suspended driver, one disqualified, two unlicensed drivers and five unregistered cars were nabbed.
