Thomas Jewellers to close doors
Thomas Jewellers in Wyndham St, Shepparton, will close down in a move head office has described as a ‘‘refocus’’.
The Thomas Group will be closing down its chain of jewellery stores in Shepparton, Bendigo, Ballarat and Albury.
In a written statement, Bourke St Mall head office said the move would refocus attention ‘‘to areas of strength and growth within the business’’.
‘‘This news marks the end of an era and the beginning of another,’’ a statement read.
‘‘The Thomas Group will be leveraging the current growth in the capital cities to consolidate and expand its commercial and residential portfolio.’’
