VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM
If fashion museums were people, the Victoria and Albert Museum would surely be royalty. Housing the largest collection of dresses in the world, documenting four centuries of textiles, the museum complements its permanent archive, ranging from costume, hats and fashion from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries with comprehensive, contemporary exhibitions. ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ is one such display currently running until 2 August 2015. Originally shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and becoming one of its most visited displays, the Victoria and Albert Museum has now partnered with Swarovski to celebrate the already legendary career of McQueen, beginning with his graduate collection and ending with the incomplete 2010 Autumn/ Winter collection.
