Of the six new itineraries keeping the 2019 brochure fresh and exciting, we’re most intrigued by Colourful India & the Ganges River. This vibrant country makes its Avalon Waterways debut on the 13-day tour-andvoyage combination between Delhi and Kolkata, offering a balance between big-ticket sites like the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort and meandering through towns and villages, offering a glimpse of daily life. Visit weavers in Kalna, brass craftsmen in Matiari and potters in Guptipara. Throughout the journey, you’ll be able to choose how you experience the destinations with Avalon Choice excursions and activities. In Europe, the Active Discovery itinerary on the Danube will be joined by Active Discovery on the Rhône, encouraging you to cycle, canoe and taste your way through the South of France on an eight-day voyage between Arles and Lyon.
