TO MAKE UP

When making up your Bird House you’ll find it helpful to refer to the images.

Using Yarn D, sew the Door to the House; the bottom of the Door should meet the second row of the House.

Using Yarn A, sew Row 2 of the Roof to the top of the House. This will leave the roof slightly higher than the house.

Using Yarn B, sew the Window to the House. With WS together, sew the two Houses together, filling with toy stuffing as you go. Attach ribbon to top of the Roof to hang your decoration.

From left: Donna’s simple edgings for the window and roof really bring her bird house decoration together. Add detail to the window with two lines of backstitch; Donna’s initial pencil sketches show how her ideas began – she’s still got time to make the cute Christmas tree for this year!

From left: Marianne’s full-colour sketch shows the robin motif, heart shape and scalloped edge but she went for a less busy colour scheme for her final make; the snow shower has evolved into simple dots for added detail. The design is double-sided and perfect as a tree decoration
