For a full list, see page 92 Worked in a ro­bust stitch pat­tern, this scarf has a twisted ca­ble de­sign down the cen­tre with raised ridges ei­ther side. The yarn is one of those com­mem­o­rat­ing Novita’s 90th an­niver­sary, and has a long colour repeat, with shift­ing tones giv­ing a pretty ef­fect.

Us­ing the 4.5mm hook, ch38.

Row 1 (WS) Tr in 4th ch from hook (skipped 3 ch counts as tr), tr in each ch across, turn. [36 tr]

Row 2 (RS) Ch3 (counts as tr through­out), tr in next 5 sts, FPtr in next st, tr in next 6 sts, ch1, skip 1 st, tr in next st, FPtr in next 6 sts, tr in next st, ch1, skip 1 st, tr in next 6 sts, FPtr in next st, tr in last 6 sts, turn.

Fas­ten off and weave in ends.

FRINGE

Cut 7 lengths of yarn, ap­prox 50cm each, and fold in half. In­sert hook into the first ch from the foun­da­tion ch, put your hook through the folded tas­sel and pull through so that the cen­tre of the strands come through the st but the ends stay on the other side of the st. Yrh with the ends of the tas­sels and pull through the cen­tre of the tas­sel to se­cure. Skip the next 5 sts and repeat un­til you have 7 tas­sels along the end of the Scarf.

Repeat these in­struc­tions on the other end and trim the tas­sels to size.
