DUCK PATTERN (MAKE 2)

NOTE Knit into yo stitches through the back loop to avoid holes appearing in work. HEAD & BODY CAST ON 7 sts. ROW 1 Knit. ROWS 2- 4 K1, yo, knit to last st, yo, K1. [13 sts] ROWS 5-15 Knit. ROW 16 Ssk, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. [11 sts] ROW 17 Cast off 7 sts, k4. [4 sts] ROW 18 & 19 K1, yo, knit to last st, yo, K1. [8 sts] ROWS 20-22 Knit. ROW 23 Knit to last st, yo, K1. [9 sts] ROW 24 K1, yo, knit to end. [10 sts] ROW 25 Knit to last st, yo, K1. [11 sts] ROW 26 Cast off 3 sts, knit to end. [8 sts] ROW 27 & 28 Knit. ROW 29 & 30 Ssk, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. [4 sts] CAST OFF.

TAIL Rejoin yarn in first cast off st of Row 17, pick up and knit the first 4 sts along cast off edge. NEXT ROW Knit. NEXT ROW Ssk, k2tog. [2 sts] NEXT ROW K2tog. [1 st] Draw yarn through st and fasten off. Weave in ends and make one more the same.

With matching yarn and RS together, join the two sides, leaving a 2.5cm opening. Turn Duck right-side out, use a blunt needle end to poke out beak and tail, then stuff lightly. Sew up opening, fasten off and weave in remaining ends.
