A one-woman yarn craft whirlwind!
Meet Nic, the lady behind website, podcast, blog and online shop – Yarns From The Plain! Up early or slow to rise? Up early more often than not, unless it’s the day after a show! First job of the day? Feed the cat, then rinse out anything I dyed the day before. Mid-morning pick-me-up? Popmaster on the Ken Bruce show on Radio 2.
Fave time to sit back and take five? Just after breakfast, when my husband’s gone upstairs to his o ce to work and turned the TV back o . I tend to have been up for a bit and done things first, before he wakes, so it’s a natural break.
Leisurely lunchtime? Not terribly, but if we’re both working at home that day, my husband and I take a break around Bargain Hunt (his choice, not mine, I’m a radio girl during the day!)
Post-lunch priorities? Admin and post o ce runs. If I have an exhibition, weaving too!
Clocking-o time? Ah! Entirely variable, dependent on looming deadlines! Anytime between 5 and 9pm. Visit www.yarnsfromtheplain.co.uk for more details on their yarns and workshops.
