Keep Yarn On Our Streets campaign

Simply Knitting - - Yarn Community - LOUISA SHEWARD

Support your local yarn shop this October by taking part in this unmissable event…

What is Keep Yarn On Our Streets? It is a campaign to bring together yarn shops across the UK. Yarn shops are such a great resource, with workshops, socials and more and we want to shout about it! Our first campaign will run through October 2018 and it is a treasure hunt. All of the shops taking part will have 50 collectable enamel badges for sale and the first three yarnies to collect ten di erent badges will win a prize!

How many shops are taking part? In our first campaign we have 42 shops taking part, with lots more eager to join in for the next one!

What can we knitters do to help? Follow and share our campaign on Instagram and help us get the message out there. Get out and about and explore your local yarn shops, and get planning your route for the October treasure hunt. If your local yarn shop isn’t taking part, tell them about the campaign!

What role do the badges play? I wanted to create something collectable that both yarn shops and customers could get excited about together. I was a member of Girl Guiding for most of my life, and as a result, I’ve always been obsessed with collecting badges.

Where can we find out more? Head to www. keepyarnonourstreets.co.uk or follow the Instagram @keepyarnonourstreets.

Owners of The Fibre Lounge, Louisa Sheward and Melanie McLoughlin, are the ladies behind this campaign!
