Rows 1 to 8 Knit to end. Change to 4mm nee­dles and work stripe se­quence as for Back AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 st at each end of 3rd row and ev­ery foll 8th row un­til there are 43 (51: 53) sts, then at each end of ev­ery foll 6th row un­til there are 53 (57: 61) sts.

Cont with­out shap­ing un­til Sleeve mea­sures 24 (29: 33)cm or re­quired length, end­ing with a WS row.

SHAPE SLEEVE CAP

Cast off 2 sts at the beg of next 2 (4: 2) rows. [49 (49: 57) sts]

Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 12 (12: 14) rows. [13 (13: 15) sts]

Cast off rem 13 (13: 15) sts.

NECKBAND

Join right shoul­der seam.

With RS fac­ing, us­ing Yarn A and a 3 mm cir­cu­lar nee­dle (40cm long), pick up and knit 5 sts evenly along shoul­der edg­ing, 14 (16: 18) sts evenly across left side of front neck, knit across 11 (13: 13) sts on front stitch holder, pick up and knit 16 (18: 20) evenly across RS of front neck, 10 sts across right side of back neck, knit across 15 (19: 19) sts left on holder at back of neck, pick up and knit 7 sts along left side of back neck and 5 sts evenly along shoul­der edg­ing. [83 (93: 97) sts] Next row (WS) P1, *K1, P1; rep from * to end.

Next row *K1, P1; rep from * to last st. K1.

But­ton­hole row Rib to last 5 sts, cast off

1 st, rib 3 sts.

MAK­ING UP

Place front placket over back placket and sew into place at armhole edge. Fold Sleeves in half length­wise, then place cen­tre point on shoul­der seam and sew Sleeves into po­si­tion. Join side and Sleeve seams. Sew but­tons in place to match but­ton­holes. Weave in ends and gen­tly block to mea­sure­ments, fol­low­ing any in­struc­tions on the ball band.
