Sony unveiled new headphones, a smart speaker and additions to its iconic Walkman brand.
Google Assistant powers Sony's first smart speaker, the LF-S50G, which serves “as the digital hub for [the] home”.
Four new sets of Sony headphones were revealed - three are variations of Sony's noise-cancelling MDR-1000X headphones in different styles. The WF1000X, is completely wire-free design and heralded “the star of the show”. The WI-1000X features a behind-the-neck design and also offers noisecancelling and wireless connectivity with longer battery life.
A high-end Walkman with high-res audio support is also forthcoming. Sony's NW-ZX300 supports 11.2MHz DSD native playback and 384kHz/32-bit PCM playback to produce music “as the artist intended”.
Sony expanded its home cinema projector range with three new 4K HDR models - Its laser light source projector the VPL-VW760ES, its “versatile” VPLVW360ES, and the affordable VPL-VW260ES.
Sony also unveiled a new compact action camera, the RXO, featuring a ZEISS 24mm F4 fixed wide-angle lens with a shutter speed of up to 1/32000 of a second. It's waterproof up to 10m, shockproof from drops of up to 2m, and crushproof to 200kgf.
