Foxtel’s new mini-series, filmed in Tasmania, has won global acclaim and is set to captivate us at home, too.
Fifteen years ago Anna Macy (Elizabeth Debicki) was playing in the forest with her best friend Gillian but several hours after strange lights appeared in the sky Anna was found scared and alone. Anna fled her home town after the terrifying ordeal but has now come back for the first time in more than a decade.
Her return to Kettering, a logging town struggling to survive and balance the need to provide employment with environmental concerns, is met with rumours and innuendo about what really happened that night. Theories range from Anna murdering Gillian to a bizarre alien abduction.
After another girl disappears just as Anna arrives Anna becomes desperate to uncover what really happened to her best friend. Her search for the truth will expose secrets long buried by the people of Kettering and her own mind.
THE KETTERING INCIDENT STARTS MONDAY JULY 4 AT Dr Anna Macy (Elizabeth Debicki) returns to her Tasmanian home town after a long absence and soon faces old demons. Fergus MaFadden (Henry Nixon) is a police officer unsettled by the return of Anna to the town.
